Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are rare neoplasm arising from dispersed endocrine system. Their incidence is estimated to be five cases per 100 000 population, although the true incidence may be higher as the consequence of often oligosymptomatic course of disease and indolent behaviour of NETs.
